Level one is the Foundation. It is also called “the Seedling”
It is the primary Level of the Educational System and the foundation of the process of teaching Arabic reading and writing upon which next Levels of Education are based. Accordingly, it necessary for us, parents and teachers, to pay this Level a great attention as it resembles the process of planting a seed, which if successful, the tree will grow and produce fruits.
In this Level, students learn the three basics of Arabic reading as well as the rules and principles of Arabic calligraphy. Through studying the book “Al-Qa’idah An-Nuraniyyah” (The Nuraniyah Rule) in addition to the books and exercises prepared by the teaching staff, the students gradually develop their pronunciation of the letters through learning articulation of sounds, so that they can pronounce Arabic properly. Also, in this Level, we work on developing the students’ memories regarding the memorizing the Noble Qur’an of which 22 Surahs of Juz’ (part of the Qur’an) `Amma are to be memorized throughout this Level.
By the end of this Level, students should:
1- Learn the three basics of Arabic reading (i.e. names of letter, shapes of letters, and phonetics).
2- Learn the rules of Arabic calligraphy.
3- Learn articulation of sounds through studying the book (The Nuraniyah Rule), so that the students can pronounce Arabic properly.
4- Master proper Arabic reading and Qur’anic wording by 90 percent.
5- Develop their ability to memorize the Qur’an, and complete memorizing the short Surahs of Juz’ `Amma.

First Stage
First: Arabic Language
1- Learning names of letters and the proper ways of pronouncing them in accordance with the Noble Qur’an.
2- Learning the different shape of a letters when it comes in the beginning, the middle, and the end of a word.
3- Training to write letters, being single or in a word, and recognizing the letters attachable to other letters and those that are not attachable.
4- Reciting the separate letters occurring at the beginning of some Qur’anic Surahs properly.
These objectives and outcomes can be realized through learning the first and second basics of Arabic reading namely, names and shapes of letters. These basics are learnt through studying the first, second, and third lessons of “The Nuraniyah Rule” book and the exercise books prepared for this Stage.Second: The Noble Qur’an
Memorizing the Surahs “Al-Fatihah (the Opening), An-Nas (Mankind), Al-Falaq (Daybreak), Al-Ikhlas (Faithfulness), Al-Masad (Palm-Fibers), An-Nasr (Victory), Al-Kafirun (The Disbelievers), Al-Kawthar (Abundance), Al-Ma`un (Kindnesses), Quraysh (The Tribe of Quraysh), Al-Fil (The Elephant), Al-Humazah (The Slanderer), Al-`Asr (The Afternoon), At-Takathur (Multiplication)”
Third: Islamic Etiquettes
Studying about twenty-five of the Islamic morals and etiquettes ordained by Allah, and the Prophet. These Islamic morals and etiquettes help the students grow up following a sound religious approach. These etiquettes include the etiquettes of Islamic greeting, visiting the Mosque, Friday Prayer, dutifulness to parents, and others. For more etiquettes, please refer to the curriculum.

Second Stage
First: Arabic Language
1- Learning the order of articulation of Alphabetical sounds based on the three Arabic diacritical marks Fat-hah (a sound), Kasrah (i sound), and Dammah (o sound), and length of uttering Vowels during recitation.
2- Learning the pronunciation of letters based on Tanwin (Nunnation).
3- Mastering the reading of words with diacritics and nunnation, and learning the use of Arabic pronouns Howa (he) and Hiya (she).
These objectives and outcomes can be realized through studying the fourth, fifth, and sixth lessons of “The Nuraniyah Rule” book in addition to the exercise books prepared for this Stage.Second: The Noble Qur’an
Memorizing the Surahs “At-Takathur (Multiplication) and Al-Qari`ah (The Smiter)” and reviewing Surahs from An-Nas (Mankind) to Al-`Asr (The Afternoon)”
Third: Islamic Etiquettes
Studying seven of the Islamic morals and etiquettes ordained by Allah, and the Prophet. These Islamic morals and etiquettes help the students grow up following a sound religious approach. The etiquettes to be studied in this Stage include the etiquettes of becoming acquainted with other people, eating, speech, and others. For more etiquettes, please refer to the curriculum.

Third Stage
First: Arabic Language
1- Listening to words containing the three letters of Madd (vowel prolongation).
2- Reading words containing the three letters of Madd.
3- Learning to distinguish between the letters of Madd and the letters with diacritical marks (i.e. letters with Fathah, Kasrah, and Dammah).
These objectives and outcomes can be realized through studying the three letters of Madd (vowel prolongation) in the seventh, eighth, and ninth lessons of “The Nuraniyah Rule” book in addition to the exercise books prepared for this Stage.Second: The Noble Qur’an
Memorizing the Surahs “Al-`Adiyat (The Chargers) and Az-Zalzalah (The Earthquaking)” and reviewing Surahs from An-Nas (Mankind) to Al-Qari`ah (The Smiter)”
Third: Islamic Etiquettes
Studying seven of the Islamic morals and etiquettes ordained by Allah, and the Prophet. These Islamic morals and etiquettes help the students grow up following a sound religious approach. The etiquettes to be studied in this Stage include the etiquettes of hospitality, apologizing, and others. For more etiquettes, please refer to the curriculum.

Fourth Stage
First: Arabic Language
1- يستمع الطالب إلى الأصوات الساكنة
2- يقرأ الطالب الأصوات الساكنة.
3- يمهرالطالب في أداء اوطرقة المقاطع الصوتية الساكنة.
4- يقطع الكلمة التي بها صوت ساكن إلى وحداتها الصوتية تقطيعا صحيحا.
وذلك من خلال دراسة باب السكون الصحيح (الدرس العاشر ، والحادي عشر) من كتاب القاعدة النورانية وكتب التدريبات المختارة التي أعدت لهذه المرحلة.
و ذلك من خلال دراسة باب المدود الثلاثة (الدرس السابع ، والثامن ، والتاسع) من كتاب القاعدة النورانية وكتب التدريبات المختارة التي أعدت لهذه المرحلة .Second: The Noble Qur’an

Fifth Stage
First: Arabic Language
1- Mastering the pronunciation of geminated letters based on the three diacritical marks (i.e. Fathah, Kasrah, and Dammah).
2- Mastering the pronunciation of geminated letters based on the three types of Tanwin (Nunnation).
3- Mastering the pronunciation of words containing two geminated letters based on the three diacritical marks (i.e. Fathah, Kasrah, and Dammah).
4- Improving students’ style of pronunciation.
These objectives and outcomes can be realized through studying Tashdid (germination) in the 12th – 16th lessons of “The Nuraniyah Rule” book in addition to the exercise books prepared for this Stage.Second: The Noble Qur’an
Memorizing the Surahs “Al-`Alaq (The Clot)” and reviewing Surahs from An-Nas (Mankind) to Al-Qadr (Determination)”
Third: Islamic Etiquettes
Studying seven of the Islamic morals and etiquettes ordained by Allah, and the Prophet. These Islamic morals and etiquettes help the students grow up following a sound religious approach. The etiquettes to be studied in this Stage include the etiquettes of staying in the Mosque, brotherhood, and others. For more etiquettes, please refer to the curriculum.

Sixth Stage
First: Arabic Language
1- Learning to recite words including Madd Lazim Kalimi Muthaqqal (Madd which becomes obligatory when a geminated letter is positioned after a Madd letter in a word) .
2- Mastering the pronunciation of Madd letters.
3- Mastering Waqf (pause) at the beginning of Verses.
4- Learning to pronounce Idgham (assimilation of letters) with a Ghunnah (nasalization).
These objectives and outcomes can be realized through studying the last lesson of “The Nuraniyah Rule” book in addition to the exercise books prepared for this Stage.Second: The Noble Qur’an
Memorizing the Surahs “At-Tin (The Fig), Ash-Sharh (Expanding), and Ad-Duha (The Forenoon)” and reviewing Surahs from An-Nas (Mankind) to Al-`Alaq (The clot)”
Third: Islamic Etiquettes
Studying seven of the Islamic morals and etiquettes ordained by Allah, and the Prophet. These Islamic morals and etiquettes help the students grow up following a sound religious approach.
